  KARHU OLYMPIC INSTALLATION

We uncovered a 1939 catalogue photo of an actual Karhu Olympic installation, which featured athletic equipment, such as javelins and discuses, used during the decathlon.

Historically named the “All-Around”, the decathlon is a combined event in athletics consisting of ten track & field disciplines.

MEMPHIS ART MOVEMENT

Drawing inspiration from the abstract and colourful designs of the Memphis Art Movement, which was active in the 80s, a popular time for the Karhu brand, this new version also incorporates the equipment and obstacles of the decathlon to showcase the collection.

KARHU × DI MOLFETTA FRANTOIANI

“LIQUID GOLD”

Karhu has collaborated with olive oil producer Di Molfetta Frantoiani, on an amphora filled with extra virgin olive oil, inspired by those won by the Olympians in ancient Greece. In the same style as its precursor, the amphora features athletes, in this case, long-distance runners.

As an incentive, a select number of stores have received a limited amount of the “LIQUID GOLD” collaboration to be gifted in-store alongside a pair purchased from the Karhu All-Around Pack.

 “ALL-AROUND” PACK

The second iteration of the “All-Around” Pack, consisting of some of Karhu’s well-known LEGEND shoes, will launch at select retailers worldwide, KARHU.COM, the Karhu Store Helsinki and the Karhu Pop-up Store Verona. So join us on Saturday, the 8th of May, to celebrate the ultimate challenge in Track & Field!
